ABC has provided some great footage of what the oil spill looks like just beneath the surface along a stretch of the slick that has been attacked with dispersant. Just below the surface, there are clouds of oil and dispersants swirling together in a slowly sinking, toxic plume that goes unseen in all of those aerial photos we’ve been seeing. To Philippe Cousteau, grandson of the famous Jacques, it is “a nightmare.”
